Why Choose Dual Enrollment at Southern Union?
Southern Union offers dual enrollment opportunities for high school students on their own high school campus or on any SUSCC campus. Dual enrollment credit means that the course you take through the college will count towards credits for your high school diploma as well as college credit for your future college degree. If you are interested, discuss your plans with your high school counselor to determine what is the best solution for your needs.
Spring 2027 Dual Enrollment registration opens October 15, 2026! Eligible students may receive tuition assistance through Southern Union’s Institutional Tuition Waiver and available STEM or Career Technical Education (CTE) scholarships. The Institutional Tuition Waiver covers tuition for one (1) course per term (Fall and Spring), with additional funding available for eligible STEM and CTE coursework. Applicable fees and other costs not covered by funding remain the student’s responsibility.
For Fall 2026 and Spring 2027, Southern Union is offering:
- Institutional Tuition Waiver: One course tuition waiver each semester (Fall, Spring, and Summer).
- STEM Scholarship: Covers one eligible mathematics or science course.
-
Career Technical Scholarship: Covers up to two eligible career technical education courses.

Our goal is to increase both affordability and access so that more students have the opportunity to earn college credit while still in high school.
