Path to the Plains is a concurrent enrollment program designed for students who plan to transfer to Auburn University to complete a bachelor's degree.  P2P students attend classes every semester during their first two years of college on the Southern Union State Community College campuses and the Auburn University Campus.  P2P students follow a specific course plan based on their intended major.

P2P applicants for Fall 2026 program admission must attend the P2P Information Session before applying.

All Information Sessions are virtual.
Thursday, November 20, 2025 - 6 p.m. - Registration REQUIRED
Thursday, December 4, 2025 - 6 p.m. - Registration REQUIRED
Tuesday, January 20, 2026 - 6 p.m. - Registration REQUIRED

MINIMUM P2P APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

Students meeting the following requirements may apply to participate in P2P.

  1. Conditional admission to Southern Union State Community College (SUSCC).

  2. Legal resident of Alabama eligible for in-state tuition at SUSCC and Auburn University.

  3. An unweighted 2.75 high school GPA OR a 3.0 college GPA (12 credits or more) OR 23 or higher ACT composite score.

  4. Eligible for ENG101 and program-specific math requirements.

Students meeting the minimum application requirements are not guaranteed admission to P2P.  Only complete P2P applications will be reviewed for acceptance.  The P2P selection committee's holistic review of applications considers several factors including, but not limited to, meeting minimum application requirements, attending a required P2P information session, submitting a complete application with the required and appropriate documents, and essay response.
