Program Overview

The Mechatronics program is designed to develop a multi-craft technician trained to diagnose and repair a variety of problems occurring with electrical and mechanical systems found in today’s state-of-the-art technology in manufacturing and industrial environments.

Mechatronics blends mechanical, electrical, and automated systems training into one two-year program; no advanced math degree required.  Graduates leave knowing how to read technical blueprints, wire electrical systems, troubleshoot motors, hydraulics and pneumatics, program robots and automated systems that run today's factories.  These skills create a versatile technician who can adapt to new, fast paced settings and cross between trades as an electrician, mechanic, and automation specialist.

This program is designed to prepare individuals for a career applying hands-on solutions to technical, robotic, and automated problems. Work opportunities are available in an array industrial settings such as automotive, aerospace, electronics, pharmaceuticals and healthcare, food and beverage, agriculture, and more.
