Head Coach Ally Silva

Ally Silva returns to the Southern Union Softball program this year for her seventh year.  She was the Assistant Softball Coach during the 2014-2015 season, and was later named the Head Softball Coach for the Lady Bison.  Silva graduated from Hoover High School in 2009.  She began her collegiate softball career at Southern Union as a Lady Bison in 2010 and 2011.  From Southern Union she transferred to Auburn University,  where she spent one year working with the Auburn University softball team.  Silva then transferred to Point University where she finished out her softball career,  as well as, her degree in Exercise Science in 2014. In August of 2020, she completed her Masters in Sport and Fitness Management from Troy University.

 

 

 

Assistant Coach Michael Garner

Michael Garner returns to the Lady Bison for his fourth season as an assistant coach. Garner graduated from Stockbridge High School in 1993. He went on to continue his baseball career at Southern Union where he was named to two consecutive All-Conference teams and one All-American team. He went on from the Bison to continue his career at Jacksonville State University. After a great career as a Gamecock, Garner went on to play professionally in the Frontier league until he settled down and decided to become a coach. Michael has been instructing baseball and softball for 10 years specializing in hitting.
