| Southern Union State Community
College is truly a student-centered educational institution with opportunities
for everyone. Our students come for courses that will transfer to
a four-year institution and lead to further education. They come for
high quality technical programs that will enable them to attain specific
skills and begin a career after graduating in a one- or two-year program.
They come for high demand health science programs such as nursing,
radiography or emergency medical services. Some students come to earn
GED certification or, perhaps, to enroll in personal enrichment non-credit
or professional development courses. For whatever reason students
come, the college mission is to help each one achieve his/her personal
educational goals. We do this through personal attention, small classes,
dedicated and competent faculty and staff, and convenient times and
locations for classes. We want to help every student succeed, and
we welcome you to Southern Union.
