IMPORTANT DORM CLOSING INFORMATION
In an effort to conserve financial resources, Southern Union's Residence Hall will not be open during Summer Term. The Residence Hall will re-open August 14, 2011, for Fall Semester. Housing applications are now being taken for Fall. Contact Lori Daniel at 256-395-2211, ext. 5171 for more information.

The college's residence halls are located on the Wadley Campus.
Residence hall living at Southern Union State Community College will be a unique
experience for many students and can prove to be a most educational and
enjoyable experience. The staff of the residence hall seeks to provide
educational, social, and cultural advantages for the students. Students who are
interested in college housing should apply early because space is limited.
Students living in the residence hall are required to purchase a
meal ticket from the college cafeteria. Housing applications can be obtained
online or from the Director of Student Life at 256-395-2211 (extension 5171 or 5152).

Dear Student and Parents:
Welcome to Southern Union residence hall life. Students living on Southern
Union's Wadley Campus form a small community within the residence hall as well
as on the whole campus.
As in every community, policies and procedures are necessary to protect the
rights of individuals and provide the welfare of the community at large. In
keeping with the purpose of Southern Union, these policies and procedures
include the values and standards of conduct expected of residents. They also
express the individual and corporate responsibilities that are linked to the
rights and privileges of resident students.
Please read the terms and conditions included in this housing agreement.
Complete the agreement and medical form and return to the business office. I
invite you to contact the residence hall staff if you have any questions
concerning this agreement or housing in general.
We believe the experience of living on campus is a vital part of the total
educational experience of students. It is our objective to provide a living
environment that will be conducive to the continued growth and realization of
the potential of students at Southern Union.
