Summer 2021 Registration

Summer 2021 Registration

Prior to registering, please be sure you are choosing the correct English and math course:

Please be sure to consider the following when getting ready to register:

  1. Make sure you have your A Number! If you do not, email your full name and birth date to suadvising@suscc.edu
  2. Consult with your advisor for answers to your questions.
  3. Registration times are based on the number of hours earned.
  • 45 or more credit hours: Monday, April 5 at 7:30 a.m. CST
  • 30 or more credit hours: Tuesday, April 6 at 7:30 a.m. CST
  • 0 or more credit hours:  Monday, April 12 at 7:30 a.m. CST

We will offer four methods of instruction for summer:

  • Traditional: Join us in class for face-to-face instruction.
  • Online: Access your class on a flexible schedule by taking an online course. A computer, webcam, microphone, and high-speed internet is required. Please keep in mind it is necessary to have the required hardware, technology, and technical skills to complete your coursework.
  • Hybrid: The best of both worlds. Hybrid offers scheduling flexibility by combining online and face-to-face instruction.  Up to fifty percent of the class will be in the classroom, and the other part will take place online.  You need access to appropriate technology and you need the technical skills required of online students to be successful in this course.
  • Virtual: Classes meet on a traditional course schedule, but online instead of on-campus.  Students and instructors will be online at the same time during the scheduled class time. Students MUST be available to be online during scheduled meeting times in order to enroll in a virtual class.  Coursework and testing will take place through the Canvas LMS so you need access to appropriate technology and you need the technical skills required of online students to be susccessful.

Please Note: A computer with a Mac or PC operating system is highly recommended for online coursework to meet the minimum compatibility requirements.  The Canvas LMS application can be downloaded for use with a mobile phone but some assignments may not be accessible without a computer. Canvas offers limited support for tablet devices.

Proctoring Fee:  A $20 proctor fee will be assessed for courses utilizing an online proctoring service for final exams. The application of proctoring fees is indicated in the course note on your schedule.

  • In-Person Meetings: In-person appointments will be available until November 19th. Masks and social distancing are required for an in-person appointment.

Step Three: Register for Classes

If you met with an advisor prior to Nov. 4th, you can register yourself for the courses you and your advisor discussed!

If you had an advising appointment after Nov. 4th, the advisor can help you register during the appointment.

FAQs:

What if I don’t have access to a webcam to do a virtual appointment?

If you schedule a virtual appointment, the system will also email you a phone number so that you could call into the meeting! If you still have questions, contact suadvising@suscc.edu

What if my advising appointment is after registration opens for new students on Nov. 4th?

That's ok! Advisors can help students get registered for courses up until they start on January 6th.
