Battle The Bison

After years of being known as "the Bison", Southern Union’s mascot was named in the fall of 2011. Suggestions were submitted and voting took place via a Facebook poll. The winning submission was Battle. This name is significant as it was submitted in memory of long-time college employee Charlie Battle. Mr. Battle was a strong supporter of SU Athletics and a valuable employee. Look for Battle - the Bison - at SU activities.
