       & Refrigeration

Want to know how to repair air conditioners and furnaces, commercial icemakers or commercial refrigerators? Then the air conditioning and refrigeration program is where you’ll want to study.

You’ll learn how to do the job safely while studying thermodynamic principles and basic theory, as well as how to work on specific types of heating, air conditioning and refrigeration equipment.

Not only will you learn how to install and repair them, but also how to troubleshoot and the laws governing refrigerant handling procedures.

To graduate, you’ll have to complete credentialing activities such as EPA tests on refrigerant handling and safety and Industry Competency Exam.

Heating, air conditioning and refrigeration mechanics and installers find a job field more open than other careers. Average earners make nearly $37,000 a year, while top earners take home more than $56,000.

Many technicians eventually own and operate their own business and become their own boss.
