Welcome from the Dean

Student Services assumes a major responsibility for helping to create a positive campus environment that enhances and supports learning. The quality of student life is significantly affected by the availability, variety, and integrity of services and extra academic support programs on campus. It is our undertaking to build alliances between the classroom and campus life, and to provide an opportunity for students to experience the excitement and responsibility that comes from being an active member within the community of higher learning.

We encourage you to learn about the many programs and services we provide. Student Services offers advocacy, wellness, diversity, involvement, engagement, spirit, recreation and leadership opportunities, as well as the memories to every student at SU!

Explore our web sites and stop by our offices. When you do, we hope you'll find Student Services to be attentive, responsive, innovative, supportive and empowering.

Best wishes,
Florence Tiffany Sanders-Dean of Students

The intramural program gives students the opportunity to participate in team and individual activities. Presently the Multi-Use Building on the Wadley Campus is open nights each week during fall and spring semesters for these activities which include basketball, swimming, badminton, volleyball, ping pong, weight lifting, and card games.

The Director of Student Life directs the intramural program, and announcements are posted on each sport early in the term. The SGA sets guidelines for each sport through committee action. Students are urged to consult the bulletin boards for announcements in this area.

  Lost and Found
Lost and found articles should be taken to campus security on the Wadley and Opelika campuses. The lost and found is located in the Administrative office on the Valley campus. The articles will be inventoried, dated, and held in the depository. The items may be claimed upon proof of ownership.

Security of Personal Property
The college cannot be responsible for personal property, nor can the college assume responsibility for the protection of vehicles or their contents. Campus security recommends that students properly secure valuables, conceal books, supplies, electronics and other valuables in a safe location. Students should never leave valuables unattended.
