| SU Emergency Alert Notification Service |
SU Emergency Alert Notification Service is a FREE service provided to all students that sends alert notifications to cell phones, home phones, pagers, and email informing students of College closings and class cancellations due to emergency situations such as hazardous weather conditions. Students will be responsible for updating contact information and prioritizing the calling order in which emergency notifications are received. Updates can be made by typing in www.myschoolcast.com in any Internet browser address bar.

| What is SU Alert? |
SU Alert is a mass notification service that sends out emergency notification recordings to cell phones, home phones, pagers, and emails simultaneously. Messages will be sent in the form of voice recordings and text messages that can be sent to thousands of students within minutes. Notifications will be used to announce College closings, class cancellations, and emergency threats. The goal of this service is to provide students with emergency notifications quickly so that students can be informed about Campus closing before arriving to class.

| How Do I Sign Up For This Service? |
All currently enrolled students already have an account that is setup in the system. Contact information was based on the information provided on the Admissions Application. It is important that each student verifies his/her information and makes the necessary updates so alerts are sent to the correct phone numbers.

How Do I Update My Contact Information? |
- To access your contact information you must have an active internet connection. From any Internet Browser type in the web address www.myschoolcast.com in the address bar. This will take you to a login screen. From here you will need to login following the directions outlined below:
- Username: First three letters of your First Name + First Three letters of your Last Name + Your two digit Birthday
- Password: Your 6 Digit DOB (MMDDYY)
- Example: John Smith born September 1, 1972
- His login would be:
- Username: johsmi01
- Password: 090172
- Once you have successfully logged in you will be prompted to change your password. You can use any password you want as long as it meets the default password requirements. In this case your password must be at least 6 digits.
*You are not required to use any numbers or special characters.
- After you have changed your password you will be directed to your personal information screen also referred to, as your “Dashboard”. From here you can add/remove, change or edit your contact information. For additional information on editing your contact information please refer to document SUalert Dashboard.
