What is a telecourse?

A telecourse is a college credit course which students complete without attending regular classes at a Southern Union campus. Students read the text, complete study guide exercises and view videocassette tapes at home. Students then make arrangements to take tests at either the Opelika or Wadley campus. Testing will not be available at the Valley campus. Course grades are determined by student performance on 4 or more tests. Telecourses provide students with the same academic quality and credit as any course offered at Southern Union. The only difference is convenience.
