Welcome to the Health Sciences Division of Southern Union State Community College. The Health Sciences Division offers Emergency Medical Services, Registered Nursing, Practical Nursing, Surgical Technology, Therapeutic Massage, Radiography, Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), and Health and Physical Education courses. The physical education (PED) and health education (HED) courses include wellness, first aid, and activity courses.
Practical Nursing is offered on the Wadley Campus, while Associate Degree Nursing, Radiography, and Surgical Operating Room Technology are offered primarily on the Opelika Campus. Emergency Medical Services (Basic, Advanced and Paramedic) and Nursing Assistant is offered on Opelika, Wadley and Valley Campuses as needed. The Wellness and Personal Trainer Certificate is offerred at either the Opelika or Wadley Campus.
Post Radiologic Technology certificates are offered online in Computed Tomography (CT) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). |
