Welcome to the Health Sciences Division of Southern Union State Community College. The Health Sciences Division offers Emergency Medical Services, Nursing, Practical Nursing, Surgical Technology, Therapeutic Massage, Radiography, Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and Physical education courses. The physical education (PED) and health education (HED) courses include wellness, first aid, and activity courses.

Practical Nursing and Emergency Medical Services (Basic) are offered on the Wadley Campus, while Associate Degree Nursing, Emergency Medical Services (Basic and Paramedic), Fire Science, Radiography, and Surgical Operating Room Technology are offered only on the Opelika Campus. Nursing Assistant is offered on both Opelika and Valley Campuses. Post Radiologic Technology certificates are offered online in Computed Tomography (CT) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI).
  Education in any health care field is demanding, but a career in health care is quite rewarding. If you are interested in our programs, we offer monthly information sessions for you to ask questions about admission requirements or you may schedule an appointment with our Health Sciences Admissions Office.
